Okay, this is the LAST post we're doing on this subject. Today Slate's Jack Shafer responds to NYT Mag contributor Peter Landesman regarding Peter Landesman's response to Jack Shafer's response to Peter Landesman's article of 16 months ago. In between, Daniel Radosh had a few responses of his own (to which Landesman naturally responds). And good Lord, at the end of it all my eyes hurt. Please, can we stop now? If everyone's point has not been made at the end of this many words, then maybe it's time to just let it go. The worst thing is, it's not at all about the sex-slave victims anymore, and, super-secret website or not, I'd be happy to think that the article somehow resulted in a reduction in that horrific practice, whatever levels they may have been at.
