ESPN Gets Interactive Facelift

espn-bottomline122208.jpgESPN, which revamped its possibly struggling Web site, is taking the interactive spirit of the Internet to television.

As soon as this summer, viewers will be able to customize their experience, starting with a new feature called “My Bottom Line,” a spin-off of the current Bottom Line. The technology will allow users to control which teams they’d like to see information about and will allow the network to “offer a national interactive-TV solution to advertisers.”

The Worldwide Leader will also roll out two additional services: “ESPN My Vote” and “ESPN In Game Extra,” which will give fans the opportunity to vote in polls and supplement statistics during live broadcasts, respectively.
