Ex-Viacom CEO To Get Up To $85 Million Severance

Don’t feel too bad for Tom Freston, the ex-Viacom CEO who was unceremoniously ousted from his post by Sumner Redstone (just a few weeks, you’ll recall, before Freston unceremoniously ousted us from his house.) As part of his severance package, Freston will receive up to $85 million, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing. Freston, who has signed on to be a company advisor, will also earn $1 million a year for three years.

Perhaps he can use the impressive payout to buy some more books.
