Finally: Conde Nast Portfolio Scales Back

portfolio10.30.08.jpgFrom jury duty, Mixed Media blogger Jeff Bercovici broke some news (admittedly, about his own magazine, but still impressive. Jon Fine also heard the news.) In a post about Men’s Vogue, Bercovci included a note about Conde Nast Portfolio:

“There are also some changes right here at Portfolio: A spokeswoman says the frequency will be reduced to 10 times a year, from 12.”

The magazine, which drawn criticism for its cover choices and struggled to live up to its $100 million launch price, has long been subject of death rumors. It will be interesting to see if embattled editor Joanne Lipman survives.
