Little things we heard at the Folio Show:

- Meredith is planning a “parents’ portal” on which they’ll put stuff not only from American Baby, but also a resource center for stuff like how to take care of your child when he has mumps. Editorial Director Mike Lafavore told us they’re well aware it’s a crowded space.
- Gruner + Jahr had a secret plan at the time they were selling Inc,. and Fast Company, but they didn’t tell the people at Inc and FC that the secret plan included their sale. Instead folks thought it was a re-org. This according to Inc/FC editor and parent company Mansueto Ventures CEO John Koten, today.
- NewWest.net is going to launch a print publication, according to their chief, Jonathan Weber.
- Science media company Seed Media, under Adam Bly, is going to be launching some new video stuff.
