Former KMEX Anchor Now An Emerging Media Mogul

Fox News Latino posted a nice profile of former KMEX- Univision 34 anchor Rolando Nichols earlier this week. Nichols left his job as an award-winning anchor nearly four years ago to start his own media business–Centro Net Productions.

How’s he doing now? Quite well apparently. Centro Net Productions started as a media consultation business, but was successful enough that Nichols now owns his own studio. He produces content for Univision Network, Fox Sports, ESPN, and KWHY Canal 22 and has 30 employees and a network of freelancers.

“There was a time when I got tired of making wealthy people even richer with my talent and I thought that it was time for me to create a business for my own financial stability and to provide jobs to other families as well,” Nichols says.
On top of all that, he’s the Spanish-language voice of the Los Angeles Angels in his spare time.
FishbowlLA would like to go on the record as being in open-jaw amazement of anyone who was able to grow a media company in Los Angeles from 2008 onward. Nice work, sir.
