Former SNL Writer Found Dead in LA Hotel

Former Saturday Night Live writer Joe Bodolai was found dead at the Re-Tan Hotel in Hollywood of an apparent suicide, as first reported by TMZ.

The 63-year-old was found by the cleaning crew and a bottle of antifreeze and Gatorade were discovered in the hotel room, according to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Chief of Operations Craig Harvey.

Prior to Christmas, Bodolai wrote an entry on his blog entitled, “If This Were Your Last Day Alive, What Would You Do?”

Bodolai co-wrote the first draft of Wayne’s World with actor Mike Myers and was a producer on The Kids in the Hall.
