Fortune Unveils Redesign, New Sections

fortune_3.4.10.jpgFortune magazine has unveiled its new redesign, calling the changes “substantial, yet evolutionary.” The magazine consulted with both “current and potential” readers before making such changes as including more information and stories on career management in the publication’s new “Career” and “Venture” sections, printing on higher-quality paper stock, and introducing a new opinion section penned by reporter Becky Quick.

Also inside the magazine, the front of the book section, First, will include a new feature called Washington Watch, focused on government spending. The Tech section will include a new item called Techmate, “an in-mag version of an online video debate series between tech gurus Jon (San Jose) Fortt and Michael (East Bay) V. Copeland.”

On the design front, Fortune has tweaked its logo, rendering it in a sleeker font which it will debut this week on a series of four covers, each featuring a different U.S. soldier-turned-business leader.

Lookin’ like a million bucks there, Fortune.
