Good Morning America Names New Executive Producers

The official announcement via TVNewser:

“Jim Murphy, the longtime news producer and former executive producer of the CBS Evening News, has been named senior executive producer of ABC News’ Good Morning America effective immediately. In addition, GMA senior broadcast producer, Tom Cibrowski, will become executive producer at the beginning of September, it was announced today by David Westin, president of ABC News … Both will jointly oversee the day-to-day content and operations of the morning news program.”

Murphy [above, right] also now figures to give Thomas Friedman a run at the Sexiest Media Moustache crown the New York Times columnist has held uncontested for the last seven years.
