Hell Hath No Fury: Mary Mapes vs. Moonves & Co.
Former 60 Minutes producer Mary Mapes who was unceremoniously canned in the wake of “Rathergate” is coming out with a no-holds-barred tell-all on the subject – and Les Moonves is gonna get his.
According to Lloyd Grove, who scored an “eye-popping” copy of the book proposal, Mapes (that’s Peabody-winning Mary Mapes to you, Moonves) also points fingers at CBS News President Andrew Heyward, his CBS News honchos Betsy West and Josh Howard, and former Attorney General Dick Thornburgh.
Like the sands in the hourglass, these are the…oops, wrong timepiece. But no less drama!
