marlboro.gifIn what’s sure to be a new wave of “exclusives” to boost war morale and get us all lathered up for sweeps, CBS led the charge today with coverage of the return home of Blake Miller – the Marine dubbed “The Marlboro Man” by the Post last fall. We’re sure the clip was meant to draw tears and pride. (Just as we’re sure you’ll enjoy Dan Rather’s exhortation to “take a deep breath of pride” – thanks, Dan).

But to hear Harry Smith answer the phone in the veteran’s mother’s trailer home by bellowing a hearty “Howdy?” into the receiver was where Fishbowl had to switch channels. See if your stomach’s stronger.
