Details, the eight-year-old men’s magazine, will raise its rate base 25,000 to 450,000 starting with the Jan/Feb 2009 issue. It’s an increase of around six percent, not much at all, but in this world any positive news is more than welcome.
“Details has had its strongest year ever in terms of both revenue and circulation, and readers continue to seek our unique editorial voice,” Steve DeLuca, the VP and publisher, said in a statement.
The lesson? In a struggling ad climate, go gay.
DETAILS MAGAZINE TO RAISE RATE BASE TO 450,000
NEW YORK (October 31st, 2008) — DETAILS will raise its rate base to 450,000 from 425,000 effective with the January/February 2009 issue, it was announced today by Steve DeLuca, Vice President and Publisher of the magazine. The title has seen consistent circulation and ad growth since its launch in 2000.
“DETAILS has had its strongest year ever in terms of both revenue and circulation, and readers continue to seek our unique editorial voice,” said Mr. DeLuca.
DETAILS delivered a total circulation of 458,536 for the first half of 2008, a strong 7.8% bonus, on its current rate base.
DETAILS, a Conde Nast publication, is a men’s lifestyle and fashion magazine, speaking to a new generation of cosmopolitan men. The title launched in October 2000 under Editor-in-Chief Dan Peres.
