Jack Griffin Out, Tom Harty In As Meredith National Media Group President

Jack Griffin has left his position as president of Meredith Corp’s National Media Group, reports Folio:. He will be replaced by Tom Harty, who formerly worked as president of consumer magazines and has helped Meredith expand across various platforms like tablets and mobile devices.

Harty has accumulated quite a list of accolades throughout his career, including being named to Mediaweek‘s 50 Most Influential Leaders list and being recognized by Media Industry Newsletter as one of its “Most Intriguing People.” Additionally, under Harty’s leadership, Meredith has increased its share of magazine industry advertising revenues for five years in a row, reaching an all-time high of 12.3 percent.

Griffin is leaving the company to “pursue other opportunities.”
