Jason Binn Changes Role But Will Stay Busy At Niche Media

After a 12-year run at the position, Jason Binn is stepping down as CEO of Niche Media to make room for, well, no one.  Binn informed WWD that he will become chairman and COO Katherine Nicholls will now serve as the publishing company’s president.  Nobody will move into the CEO role and Binn does not anticipate much change to occur at Niche:

I’ll still be coming to work, but this allows me to broaden my horizons and think of more creative ways to build the business. Katherine and I have had a 15-year relationship. She’s worked hard to earn this title.

Niche, which publishes Gotham, Hamptons, and Capitol File, is wrapping up its most successful year since 2007.  Binn’s “move” at Niche is not expected to affect his advising role at the Glit Groupe.
