Former Men’s Vogue Editor Jay Fielden Loses Home In Fire

Jay Fielden, former editor of  Men’s Vogue and now a contributing editor at Vogue, escaped a house fire with his wife, Yvonne, and their three children this week, WWD is reporting. Unfortunately, their Wilton, Connecticut home burned completely to the ground.

Fielden, however, is choosing to focus on the positive and on the future, despite losing the majority of his belongings in the blaze:

We are lucky we made it out. We spent the night at the neighbors. Now we’ll need to find a house to rent, because it will probably take a year to rebuild.

Fielden did share that he had the presence of mind to save one, important material object: the memoir he is helping Vogue creative director Grace Coddington put together.
