Jon Stewart Won’t Host Oscars Unless Strike Is Settled

A tipster has told FishbowlNY that Jon Stewart is telling insiders he will not host the Oscars unless the WGA writer’s strike is settled. The February 24th Oscars telecast would be Jon Stewart’s second time hosting. The Academy Awards is the second most-watched program in America, behind only the Super Bowl. The loss of such a show would be a big blow to ABC, which is scheduled to run the telecast.

Update: Don Kaplan of The NYPost informs us that he ran a story with sources saying the same on Jan 21st.
