The countdown continues, but with a touch of sadness. If yesterday’s news is to be believed, it’s no longer premature to speculate on Couric’s replacement: Natalie Morales, Campbell Brown, Meredith Viera et al. All that’s left are the logistics — as TVNewser says, she’ll stay ’til May 31, the end of this countdown. If Katie does go — and it certainly looks that way — which of the current cast is gonna hold the cupcake that holds the show together? Matt? Al? Ann?
