Katie Couric Lands Newsweek Cover
Katie Couric is on the cover of Newsweek this week. And granted, it was a big story last week, maybe the biggest. But when even our brother over at TVNewser hints that’s he’s getting sick of the Katie Couric coverage, the problem with newsweeklies in the 24-hour news cycle is illuminated.
That said, Newsweek does report some news the cycle perhaps missed: that CBS head Les Moonves‘ backup plan was Couric’s Today Show replacement Meredith Vieira. But why didn’t they report it on their Web site last week while the story was cooking?
