Katie’s Presidential Interview
Not a lot has gone right for Katie Couric of late, unfortunately. There is, for example, that unauthorized biography released on the eve of Couric’s highly risky broadcasting duties in Iraq. One morsel of good news, however, is Katie being in the right place at the right time. CBS News Executive Producer Rick Kaplan told our colleagues at TVNewser about how Katie Couric scored a one-on-one with the Commander-in-Chief while over in Iraq. From TVNewser:
”A General told us to be at his chopper at a certain time to travel to an undisclosed location … he had a big surprise … we didn’t know until the very last minute what was going on.”
It would be a tragedy if the scandalous bio overshadows Couric’s commendable work.
