Lady Gaga Designs USA Today Logo

Lady Gaga, the odd outfit-wearing pop artist, can now boast that she is the first guest contributor to design a USA Today logo. The above image was created by Gaga and Jeff Koons, who also designed the cover art for Gaga’s new album, Artpop.

When describing the decision to hand USA Today’s “Life” section branding to Gaga, David Callaway, editor of the paper, went a little overboard. “USAToday is the pulse of the nation and Lady Gaga’s goal of bringing high art to the masses reflects that pulse,” he explained, in a statement. The pulse of the nation! Someone had a lot of coffee this morning.

Anyway, we do admire how Gaga went for it with this logo. Why simply design something interesting, when you can just use a picture of yourself holding your boobs and call it a day? This, as your FishbowlNY editors know, is the first rule to Good Art: When in doubt, grab your junk. Works every time.
