San Rafael Developer Readies Law & Order: Los Angeles Game

The folks at Telltale Games in San Rafael have a healthy sense of humor. In echoing today’s press release news of their partnership with NBC Universal on a Law & Order: Los Angeles video game, they blogged a nod to some procedural character staples:

Early morning joggers, dock workers, and low-rent apartment superintendents have something to look forward to…

There’s also a website, LawandOrderGames.com, where fans of the Alfred Molina-Terrence Howard led west coast series can register to get email notifications about the upcoming game. Telltale, founded by a group of former LucasArts employees, has a long relationship with NBC Universal, having also developed games based on the Back to the Future and Jurassic Park film franchises.

FishbowlLA will be intrigued to see how far Telltale expands upon the L&O: LA character of cop Tomas Jaruszalski, played by Corey Stoll. The policeman is the son of an Oscar-winning Polish cinematographer and “knows too well the dark underside that is behind-the-scenes Hollywood.”
