Layoffs at Conde Nast Digital, Wired.com Hit Hardest?

key_art_conde_nast_digital.jpgLooks like yesterday’s layoffs at Conde Nast didn’t stop with the receptionists. Both Gawker and Alley Insider are reporting that there have been layoffs at Conde Nast Digital. Gawker says more than 20 people have been cut, Alley Insider has heard that Wired.com was hit the hardest but that digital group was affected across the board.

All Conde will say on the subject is that “The creation of Conde Nast Digital was about setting the company up for growth in the digital area. As the various digital units merged we have found some duplication. We are streamlining to form one unified staff.”
