Long Beach Aquarium Yanks Ad From Rush Limbaugh’s Show

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach has joined nearly 50 other companies in pulling their ads from “The Rush Limbaugh Show.” The Aquarium first announced their decision on Twitter and Facebook Wednesday morning:

More details from the Long Beach Press-Telegram:

Aquarium Communications Manager Claire Atkinson said the popular Long Beach attraction “did not specifically purchase ads on Rush Limbaugh’s show.”

The ads, she explained, are part of Clear Channel’s streaming radio, which airs on eight different stations and multiple shows in a network.

Atkinson added: “The demographic we are trying to reach in our media buys is families.”

Presumably that includes families who would like to use contraception without being called “sluts.”
