In the wake of Tina Fey‘s official departure from Saturday Night Live, executive producer Lorne Michaels says big changes are brewing as the show enters its 32nd season.

Via TV Guide:

Michaels will try out various SNL players in Fey’s Weekend Update anchor chair before the season begins in October. Fey’s departure could be the first of many changes at SNL before the fall. Michaels offered no other details, but said SNL will feel the effects of NBC’s “massive” company-wide budget cuts, “so that makes some decisions simpler or clearer.”
