Lunch at Michael's: a hot day, and I do mean the weatherWhen two gossips gossip, who pays the bill? Access Hollywood's Michael Lewittes, we would guess. He was hiding back in the Garden with Chris Wilson, of Page Six. Other than that, nothing very interesting was going on...Well, maybe something with Michael Wolff, back at his regular table. But, really, other than those two items, we're dry. 1: Katherine Oliver commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting (FT+B), with Michael Wolff partner at Eisner LLP, Victor DiGioia attorney with Goldstein DiGioia and Karin Grafstrom director of business development in the Mayor's office of FT+B. 2: Dan Scheffey, PR at GQ, with Peter Brown of Brown Lloyd James. Table B/3 (hereby known as Joe Armstrong's table. Joe even has his own Texas boot flower holder): Joe was with dashing mag publisher David Kahn (not to be confused with book packager and lit agent David Kuhn). We must note: Joe is at Michael's so often someone (Jim Wagner of Certainly Studios) actually printed up a business card for him that says "Joe Armstrong: Mayor of Michael's." 4: Former Conde Nast'er Jon Brunelle with Ernest Renzulli, pres/publisher of Absolute: New York at its Best. 7: Hamilton South, of HL Group, with Ben Elliot, founder and marketing director of Quintessentially.com, and nephew of Camilla Parker Bowles. 8: Jordan Ringel, an attorney at Pavia & Harcourt with ? 11: Deborah Schindler, a film producer who now works with Elvis Mitchell at Columbia Pictures, was with Richard Heller from the New York-based entertainment firm Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein and Selz. He is partner and co-chairman of the Firm's Entertainment and Sports Group. D: Wearing his usual Wednesday attire -- yellow short-sleeved Polo shirt and black sweater vest -- Court TV's Henry Schleiff with someone we couldn't place. 5 (Michael Wolff's table): Vanity Fair's very boyish Fred Turner with Michael Wolff (welcome back, Michael. I haven't seen you on Wednesdays in awhile). G: Stanley Schuman, head of the media practice at Allen & Co, with an attractive woman in a lavender tie-dye print. H: Howard Rubenstein, of Rubenstein Associates with Michael Cork, Deputy Editorial Director of the Daily News (in a red tie). They shared the veggie salad special, a must. F: Jesse Kornbluth, head wit of the very amusing HeadButler.com, with the fetching Wendy Goldberg (Wendy Goldberg Communications) and Marshall Cohen (market research strategist extraordinaire), all former compatriots from their AOL days. 20: PR macher Sue Geramian (formerly of G+J) with Conde Nast macher Maurie Perl; she's senior vice president of corporate communications for Condé Nast. 17: NATAS chieftain Peter O. Price was dining with Tom Carley, president of the Times' News Service. 21: Joan Carganis Jakobson, author of And One More Thing: A Mother's Advice on Life, Love, and Lipstick, was with Nancy Newcombe of Citicorp. 27 (Reese's Table): Food Network exec (also the first pres of CNN!) Reese Schonfeld with someone we don't know. Reese, help us out here! 26: I have no idea who you are. An attractive woman with someone else, who I couldn't see because the pillar/mirror was in my way. 19: Our table. We were with Chris Taylor, former PR guru to Bloomberg, who now gets to buzz around in helicopters with billionaire Ron Perelman, whose holding group owns Revlon. And, no, she doesn't do cosmetics PR. This is higher-level corporate strategy stuff. 15 (bookish table): We accidentally waved hello to James Patterson (thinking he was Veronis' Tom Kemp; they do look a bit alike) who waved back before sitting down with two other gentleman. He brought a couple of copies of his latest book (Lifeguard) to hand out. He was wearing a perky green tie with little Sailfish on it. One of his pals was wearing a bold red tie with a red pin. When they touched glasses, they said "to the Salvation Army!" 23: Lionel Barber, US managing editor of the Financial Times with someone I couldn't recognize. 22: Peter Wolf, senior vice president for international affairs of Time-Warner Group, with Fortune Group Publisher Mike Federle. 28: Ed Menicheschi, of WWD, with Sherri (sp?). K: Allyn Magrino with Michael Doneff and another woman. 25: Crain's New York Business' Matthew Flam, with Beth Brenner, publisher of Domino and Amy Peck, director of PR there. Back Room: Winsome Jonathan Capehart, former anchor of Bloomberg, now at Hill & Knowlton, with Brad Hoylman, of Partnership for NYC. IF you were at Michael's today (or any day) and would like to report in, or correct the record, please email LaurelT AT mediabistro.com (also, please send us table numbers!) MAP of room
