Fandango and Movies.com Chief Marketing Officer Ted Hong is moving to the app market. He’s just signed on as the new CMO of M-GO–a new multi-media content app set to launch this Spring.

January 31, 2012 – Burbank, CA – M-GO, the app dedicated to making entertainment effortless, today announced the appointment of Ted Hong as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer. M-GO seamlessly combines all of your media including movies, music, live TV, and much more, in one easy to navigate location. As M-GO gears up for its consumer launch in the spring of this year, Hong will be charged with leading all marketing and communications efforts, specifically around consumer adoption.

Hong joins M-GO from Fandango and Movies.com, where he also served as CMO. In that role, he was in charge of Fandango’s brand and customer acquisition, leading all of its online and offline marketing, public relations, promotions, market research and retail product initiatives. He was instrumental in launching the nationally-recognized Fandango Bag Puppet advertising campaign.

Hong’s 20 plus years as a business leader in marketing, strategy and general management from small start-ups to $200MM global brands, will serve as a key asset in bringing M-GO to the consumer marketplace.
