The Fader announced today that its summer issue will be distributed via iTunes as a free download. Publisher Andy Cohn says it is "the first full magazine posted on iTunes." Southern Comfort is sponsoring the iTunes distribution.

As far as future iTunes Fader issues? "We plan to continue doing so," says Cohn, adding he doesn't think the move will cannibalize the print product whatsoever. "This is to supplement print — we see this as a promotional opportunity for both us and our advertisers."
