New Publisher For WWD
The new WWD honco is Christine Guilfoyle, who was lured away from the publisher gig at Every Day with Rachael Ray by Fairchild. Previous to Rachael Ray, she was Advertising Director for Better Homes & Gardens. Her appointment will be effective in September. Congrats, Christine. Condé Nast press release after the jump. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ms. Guilfoyle will be responsible for the publishing business and advertising operations for the Women's Wear Daily brand, which includes WWD and all WWD-branded supplements and magazines. "Chris is a great strategist and leader with a track record of success. Having worked together at Better Homes & Gardens, I know she is the ideal person to help lead the global expansion of the WWD brand," Lagani said. Ms. Guilfoyle has been Publisher of Reader's Digest Association's Every Day with Rachael Ray since its launch in 2005. Under her leadership, the magazine was recognized as the "Launch of the Year" by both Advertising Age and Adweek. Prior to her role at Rachael Ray, Guilfoyle was the Advertising Director for Better Homes & Gardens. She began her publishing career in sales positions at People, TV Guide and Omni magazines.
