Marc Ecko: Designer, Publisher, Graffiti Champion

We heard about clothing designer-cum-publisher Marc Ecko‘s fight against the city over graffiti laws that would make it a criminal act for kids to carry spray cans or markers. And we heard about Councilman Peter Vallone‘s contention that Ecko’s suit is merely a fume-filled cloud to promote his graffiti-fueled video game, Getting Up. We were recently at Ecko’s offices to interview the dudes from Complex, and the walls were strikingly graffiti-less, at least the floor we were on. And we can also report that only on our way out did anyone mention the video game.
