Maxim, Fittingly, To Open Steakhouse

maxim_steak.jpgJust in:

New York City, NY (October 25, 2006) — Maxim magazine, the best-selling men’s lifestyle magazine in the nation and the world, is joining forces with world renowned restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow and his China Grill Management to develop “Maxim Prime,” a new concept version of the traditional steakhouse, it was announced today by Dennis Publishing president and CEO Stephen Colvin. Chodorow and his culinary team will oversee the restaurant design, recruitment of staff and creation of menus. The design will feature a mix of cutting-edge style, comfort and sophistication that has become a trademark of other Chodorow restaurants, including China Grill, Asia de Cuba, Social Miami at Sagamore, Social Hollywood and Ono at Hotel Gansevoort. The partners expect to have 15 Maxim Prime restaurants open across the country within five years, with the first scheduled to open in spring 2007.

We have a feeling its clientele will be a tad different from Rachael Ray‘s burger joints.
