Gore is Hep to the Kids: Former Vice-President Al Gore plans to do for TV what he did for the internet with Current, his new cable channel set to launch August 1, 2005, for the 18-34 set. Current will partner with Google Zeitgeist to provide frequent updates (bad news for you, Hogzilla).
Alt-Alt-Weeklies: Today's NYT tips its hat to the city's 26 ethnic daily newspapers, but not to government officials:
The Independent Press Association-New York concluded that reporters for the ethnic press felt that government agencies routinely failed to provide them with useful information in a timely manner.(Because the government is so helpful in providing information to the rest of us.)
