Jon Stewart was 'A Little Nervous' About War Correspondent
''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'' has an unlikely Senior Military Affairs Correspondent in Rob Riggle, a former US Marine Corps major and New York improv comedian. Riggle, a former Saturday Night Live cast member, managed to convince the Pentagon to let him do a USO show. After that it must have been easy for Riggle to pitch Jon Stewart for some correspondent work for The Daily Show. From ABCNews.com: ''He then went to 'Daily Show' anchor Jon Stewart and pitched him on bringing field producer Glenn Clements and a writer. ''I think Jon was a little nervous at first but he was like, 'Yeah, OK, let's try it,' Riggle said.'' During Riggle's nine-day Iraq tour they shot his appearances at four USO shows for the troops with just two digital cameras. Email This Post |
