That cheering you hear in Park Slope is coming from the Jonathan Safran Foer household.

Last week, JSF sent an email to his (presumably less affluent) Williamsburg friends begging them to help him prop up his books flagging sales. JSF held fast on the NYT bestseller list at #12 on the April 17th list. Which is good. Because we just figured that, with, say 20% down on a $6.75 million house in Brooklyn...JSF is still going to have monthly mortgage payments of about $32,375 a month.
