Mel Gibsons Say the Darndest Things

images-54.jpgL.A. is ringing with the news: Mel Gibson is an anti-Semite!

Wait. This is news? The guy made Passion of the Christ, for Schmulik’s sake! His dad’s a Holocaust denier. But apparently it’s amazingly surprising that Gibson would allegedly make anti-Semitic remarks when he’s arrested for an alleged DUI.

There’s dispute over whether the L.A. Sheriff’s department covered up the slurs. Nikki Finke says no, LAT suggests yes.

There is no dispute, however, that Gibson has now shown his “true colors,” no matter what his hung-over self said later.

Praising TMZ.com’s scoop, Ari Emanuel in The Huffington Post called for Hollywood to shun Gibson.

A celebrity facing consequences for his actions? Now that would be news.
