"Decision-Maker Week" on the mediabistro.com Morning Media Menu podcast continues today with Fox News SVP of news editorial, Michael Clemente.

We talk to Clemente about the network's dominating ratings since the Obama administration began — leaving them eyeing the outright cable network lead rather than just cable news. "I think people trust what they're hearing," he says of FNC's daytime success. "In tougher times, they gravitate toward the facts. It's always wonderful to tell a great story, people love to tell great stories...A fact-based story that you can trust in a time when you're really looking to understand what the heck is going on out there, domestically and international, I think that's a natural draw to people and clearly it has been for some time here."

Clemente left ABC News in February to join FNC, and has already taken on more responsibility at the network, since John Moody moved to a job within News Corp. "I think the project that John is on is going to be terrific for News Corp.," says Clemente of Moody's new position. "And maybe even for people beyond News Corp. at a certain point. Who knows what can happen tomorrow? It's a great place. Things just happen. They want to make things happen — if you see an opportunity, go for it."
