Meredith National Media Names Liz Schimel EVP Consumer Relationship Management

Meredith National Media Group has announced today that Liz Schimel has joined as EVP, consumer relationship management and digital media — an entirely new role at the company.

Schimel will be responsible for “all pathways to the consumer across both print and digital platforms,” which in part means overseeing the development of Meredith’s e-tablet and mobile efforts, further building CRM and e-commerce capabilities, expanding and evolving consumer data, and the migrating of all consumer marketing activity online.

Schimel worked at Nokia as its global head of music and connected entertainment. She has also previously served as the SVP, entertainment at Comcast Interactive Media, leading initiatives to create and develop internet video products and services. In addition, Schimel oversaw the building and and execution of digital partnerships with Comcast’s video programmers and marketing partners, like NBC, CBS, Viacom, ABC, Turner, HBO, and Showtime. She has also held senior leadership roles at AT&T Wireless, BMG Online and BMG Entertainment, and Soundview Technology Group
