The author, journalist, and talk show host has signed on to Huffington Post’s new gay vertical as editor-at-large. We’re hoping he brings his tradition of “outing” celebrities and media figures to HuffPo, though the press release makes no mention of it in the job description:
In this position, Signorile will help shape the site’s vision and direction, offer commentary and analysis, live-blog events, assist with assigning story coverage, and enlist a wide array of voices to contribute to the conversations of interest to the gay community and beyond.
The press release also mentioned that “HuffPost Gay Voices launched in October and in its first month was the most popular gay site, as measured by comScore (October 2011).” We’re fairly positive that measure is excluding porn websites.
