Los Angelenos are probably familiar with “Psycho” Mike Catherwood, the former assistant producer of the Kevin & Bean show on KROQ and host of Loveline with Dr. Drew Pinsky.
But the 32-year-old bachelor developed quite the national following last year after appearing as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and filling in for Regis Philbin.
With Philbin’s full-time replacement still in limbo, Catherwood would still love to replace the man he dubs, “the Babe Ruth of broadcast TV.”
“From a broadcast standpoint, that’s a dream job,” Catherwood told FishbowlLA.” He’s such a professional and has been for more time than I’ve been on this planet. I would love to do that gig. I don’t hold much hope that I would be selected, but I would love to do it.”
For more on Catherwood’s long road to sobriety and his pledge to only buy domestic goods in 2012, check out, “So What Do You Do, Mike Catherwood, Host of Loveline?”
