‘Monster’s Ball’ Screenwriter Will Rokos Hit By No. 2 Train in New York

Yikes. Academy Award nominated screenwriter Will Rokos is in critical but stable condition in New York after getting hit in the head by a 2 train. Rokos, according to the NY Post, was apparently leaning over the platform to look for his train when it unexpectedly came, striking his head and sending him flying into the air onto the platform. Not exactly sure how someone could miss an oncoming train in New York. According to police, the subway conductor saw Rokos in the way of the train and slammed on the breaks.  He couldn’t stop in time, however.

Rokos is best known for writing the screenplay for “Monster’s Ball,” and for playing the prison warden in the film.
