Morning Media Menu: The mediabistro.com SXSW Edition

Today on the Menu Steve has taken the day off and left us in charge! Fortunately we had serious back-up in the form of mediabistro.com’s Rebecca Fox and PRNewser’s Joe Ciarallo both of whom have just returned from the SXSW interactive festival with tales of Twitter overload, and faulty AT&T wireless signals.

Rebecca confirms our suspicion that SXSWi attendance this year may have exceeded the music portion, which is ongoing. And both she and Joe remark on the Twitter domination of the festival — it was “ubiquitous,” says Rebecca — as well as, the evolution of hash tags as a way to define Tweets and streamline Twitter searches.
