Today on the Menu CNBC’s Becky Quick joins us straight off the set of Squawk Box, which she co-hosts every morning.

Quick talks about how she and her colleagues try to balance their coverage of the crisis so it can be understood by a larger audience: “We try not to dumb it down…to still appeal to that core customer who’s been with us for years and years, but we do catch ourselves from time to time maybe explaining these terms a little more slowly.”

“I end up emailing people back during the show and after the show,” Quick says, “trying to walk them through it a little bit.”
