MSNBC: Getting A Web Makeover And (Maybe) A Talent Makeover

Since the news spread around the mediarati last night that Rosie O’Donnell was in serious negotiations with MSNBC to host a primetime show on the network, TVNewser got an update.

Jacques Steinberg, who wrote about Rosie’s potential show for the New York Times, gave TVNewser an interview.

According to Steinberg’s Times piece, it’s part of the network’s strategy to give themselves a makeover as a left-wing counterpart to Fox News:

The cable channel believes there is ratings gold in shows that criticize the administration with the same vigor with which Fox News’s hosts often champion it.

But the ideology of the network’s on-air talent and writers isn’t the only thing that’s getting a makeover.. The website is, too. Fimoculous reports that MSNBC is liveblogging their site’s redesign.
