Tina Brown‘s soon-to-launch news aggregation Web site got a design boost when Ian Adelman decided to leave his position as design director of NYMag.com and join the former Vanity Fair editor. Earlier this morning, we asked New York publisher Larry Burstein for his thoughts.

“[New York Media is] a place known for very talented people and our people get recruited all the time,” he told us. “Ian is a big loss and we’ll miss him but we’ll fine someone to talk his place.”

Burstein declined to answer when asked if New York would look internally or externally to replace Adelman. “That would be a question for Adam [Moss] and the general manager of the Web [Ben WilliamsMichael Silberman],” he said.
