Brides.com To Offer $200 'Engagements On Ice' At Rock Center Rink
Because merely a catchy title is enough to warrant a corporate partnership these days, Brides.com has announced a deal with the rink at Rockefeller Center to capture on-ice marriage proposals "Engagements On Ice" and post them online. It's more complicated than you think: The "Engagements on Ice" package offers front-of-the-line access ensuring that the lucky couple can head straight onto the ice for a romantic spin around the Rink. As the session ends, the other skaters will disappear, leaving the couple alone on the ice. 'Their song' will begin to play, setting the scene for the perfect proposal. Once she says 'yes,' The Rink staff can deliver a bouquet (dropped off ahead of time by the proposer) to the new fiancée before the couple takes one last lap around the Rink. To complete the experience, the two toast to their good fortune at the rink-side restaurant Rock Center Café before receiving an exclusive Brides.com gift bag. The cost of "Engagements on Ice" is $200, all inclusive. Editor Theresa DiMasi will "conduct interviews with some of the affianced couples directly after the proposal has been accepted."
