Let's just call this "Decency Week" for New York media. NY Press, the embattled alt-weekly, decided to publish a bizarre, mask-wearing, nipple-bearing cover shot for its "Wear Your Home" issue.

Is this new editor Jerry Portwood's idea of pushing the envelope?

Of all the possible weeks of the year to try and shock, this one would have to rank as perhaps the worst in terms of buzz generation.

Portwood, you'll recall, took the helm when then-editor Adario Strange quit after just a year there.
