Now Hear This: Metromix Seeks Contributing Music Editor

metromixlogo083110.jpgIf we hit shuffle on your iTunes, would we hear everything from Taylor Swift to Metallica? Well, Metromix is searching for a contributing music editor to create original content and develop new initiatives for the company’s music channel. The gig is only part-time and mostly on-site, but we think it’s too good of an opportunity to pass up. Who knows what kind of doors it could open?

If hired, you’ll be copyediting album reviews, artist interviews and editorial features in addition to handing photo galleries and cropping images. There will be some writing involved (more if you’re interested, we assume), but you’ll also be looked to for identifying music trends and brainstorming traffic-increasing ideas.

If you have top-notch writing and editing skills, plus a broad understanding of Top 40, country, hip-hop, metal and more, you’re a perfect candidate for this position. Knowledge of CMS, Photoshop and major social media platforms are a definite bonus. Interested? Gather your clips and apply here.
