NY Sun VP, Multimedia Talks Homepage Redesign

FBNY caught up with Matthew Goldenberg, VP of multimedia at the NY Sun, to ask him about the site’s redesign.

“We wanted to bring as much content as we could to the Web and make it immediate,” he said, highlighting the sections on the side such as “New York,” “National” and “Business.”

“The paper is known for its arts coverage, so we’re trying to take advantage of the arts on the side,” he said. The image bar on the upper right side will change at least daily, possibly more depending on breaking news.

As for original content, the blogs and podcasts are unique to the Web and there are plans to add more in the near future. “[The site's] still a work in progress,” Goldberg said. “Getting it live was step one. We just added a calendar section. We’ll be adding more audio and video, and social networks are very likely.”
