NYT scoops Glamour Editor’s Note

The NYT interviews (and photographs!) Glamour EIC Cindi Leive less than a week after she gave birth to her second baby, Ike. Last week was particularly busy for Leive: Monday she closed on a Brooklyn townhouse, Wednesday she won an Ellie, and Friday little Ike was born. Labor started last Thursday night, just as Leive was returning from a dinner she’d co-hosted at Denise Rich’s, for Glamour associate editor Erin Zammett’s upcoming memoir about her battle with leukemia. Still decked out in full Glamourista gear, she bundled into a cab:

She reminded herself the episode would make a wonderful editor’s note for the magazine. She entered the delivery room still wearing $20,000 diamond earrings, borrowed from Fred Leighton for the magazine awards and the party. There’s an editor’s note in there somewhere.
