Adventures in celebrity journalism; or, if no one ever returns your calls does it count as journalism?
Witness this exchange with the helpful sweetie in the office of Geyer Kosinski, manager to the lovely and adoptalicious Angelina Jolie. We had a question for him about his Oscar-winning client, of whom we aren't jealous at all, why would you say that? We sent a polite email detailing our questions, outlining the nascent item politely and following up with a phone call. The person on the other end told us that our email had been received and that we would be "looked after." Which, you know, sounded pretty good. But 24 hours later, and no call. So, confident in the fact that everyone in Hollywood must read Fishbowl religiously, we called back, and spoke with someone who was presumably an assistant, whom we shall call "Snip" for no real reason. Here is the transcript, accurate insofar as our Diet Coke-addled memory permits: SNIP: Geyer Kosinski's office. So, we did what we had to do, which was nickname him "Snip" in a public forum and ruin our chances of ever eating lunch in that town again. Which is fine, because we rather prefer eating lunch in this town. Update: They didn't call Lowdown back, either. We don't feel so bad. We can have lunch with them. Lloyd, you're buying.
