Anyone out at Newsweek? Not IsikoffScott McLellan said that yesterday's Newsweek retraction was "a good first step." So does the White House want the next step to be rolling heads? "Mike was told he would not be sacrificed, we are standing behind him 100%," a told the DRUDGE REPORT. "We do not, I repeat, do not let this White House, any White House, make our staff decisions for us." According to Drudge, Isikoff offered up his resignation in the wake of the flap but Newsweek refused to accept it. Drudge also writes (again, unsourced) that "White House staffers suspect Isikoff's source for the Qu'ran report was from congress, not from the administration."
